Guide Your Future (GYF) is a student-led, non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering young people across Brazil through education, technology and social inclusion.
We believe technology, combined with human connection and the power of volunteering, can transform lives and create opportunities.
Our mission is to bridge educational and digital divides by providing underserved communities with access to English language education, digital literacy and AI-powered learning tools.
Through a digital platform connecting student volunteers with learners across Brazil, we aim to make quality education more accessible, scalable and inclusive, regardless of geographical or socioeconomic barriers.
Beyond teaching, GYF inspires youth leadership, social responsibility and meaningful community engagement through educational projects, fundraising initiatives and student-led school chapters.
Empowering students.Bridging gaps.Guiding futures.
Guide Your Future was founded in February 2024 at St. Paul's School in São Paulo with a simple but powerful belief: young people have something real to give — and the right tools can change someone's life.
We connect volunteer tutors from international schools across Brazil with young adults who are already working in tourism — as tour guides, waiters, bellboys, and vendors — or who want to break into one of Brazil's fastest-growing industries. Many of these young people are talented, motivated, and hungry to grow. What they often lack is access: to quality English practice, to someone who will work with them one-on-one, and to the free artificial intelligence tools that are already out there — if only someone would show them how.
We go where the people are. Check out our visit to Acervo da Laje in Salvador, Bahia — where we held our first in-person meeting and class, listened closely to the community, and learned first-hand what they really need.

Brazil is vast. Its communities are spread across states, cities, and cultures — and the need for this kind of support exists in all of them. That's why Guide Your Future was designed from the start to grow through technology, not despite it.
Every session happens online, making it possible for a volunteer in São Paulo to support a young tour guide in Salvador, a waiter in Fortaleza, or a bellboy in Manaus — without either of them leaving home. No physical infrastructure. No geographic limits. Just two people, a screen, and a shared commitment to growth.
Technology is not a shortcut for us — it is the strategy. And we never lose the human connection: before expanding into new communities, we show up in person to listen and learn.

A one-on-one English session tailored to your actual job is something most people simply cannot afford. A private tutor costs money. A language school follows its own curriculum. Neither is built for a 20-year-old who needs to describe a city tour in English tomorrow morning.
Guide Your Future fills that gap. Specific vocabulary for real situations, pronunciation practice that builds confidence out loud, and the kind of conversational fluency that only comes from actually talking with someone. No generic textbook. No wasted time.

One of the most important things our tutors teach is this: you don't need to pay for any of this. There are free artificial intelligence tools, resources, and platforms available to anyone with a phone — and most people in our community have never been shown how to use them.
A significant part of every session is dedicated to exactly that: opening these tools together, learning how to use them, and building the habit of independent practice. A new way of learning that belongs to you — forever, for free.

Vocabulary can be memorized. Pronunciation can be practiced. But confidence — the willingness to try, to speak up, to engage with a foreign visitor without freezing — that takes something more. It takes encouragement. It takes someone in your corner.
Our tutors celebrate small wins. They make mistakes feel safe. They show up consistently. The moment a young tour guide approaches a tourist and speaks with ease — that moment changes everything.
Don't be shy — just book a session and show up. That's it.
There's no test, no level requirement, no judgment. Just you and a tutor who genuinely wants to help.
Use your session to practice what you already know, ask the questions you've never had the chance to ask, and work on exactly what you need — whether that's how to greet a tourist, describe a local dish, explain a tour route, or simply feel less nervous when someone speaks to you in English.
And there's more. Your tutor will also show you free artificial intelligence tools and digital resources you can use completely on your own. One session can surprise you. Book yours now.
If you are a high school student at an international school in Brazil, you already have something rare: fluency in English, access to technology, and an education that most people around you never had.
As a tutor, you'll lead free one-on-one online sessions with young adults who are building their futures in tourism — helping them practice real English, discover free artificial intelligence tools, and feel genuinely supported by someone their own age. You don't need teaching experience. You need energy, empathy, and 30 minutes.

30-minute onboarding
With one of our leaders before your first session — we walk you through the session structure, share our tools, and make sure you feel fully prepared.
We join your first three sessions
A Guide Your Future leader will be in the room to support you, answer questions in real time, and give feedback afterward. You are never thrown in alone.
You set your own schedule
Once your profile is active, simply add how many hours you have available each week — sessions run between 30 minutes and 1 hour. Update anytime.
No long-term commitment
Want to volunteer for just one month? Fine. Going through exams? No problem. Even a single session makes a real difference on the other side of the screen.
Official certificate of hours
Every tutor receives a formal certificate documenting their hours and role — for school requirements, university applications, or any portfolio of leadership and social impact.
This is not a line on a résumé. It's a real experience of leadership, connection, and impact that you will carry with you long after you leave school.
Apply to Become a TutorGuide Your Future was built by three high school students at St. Paul's School in São Paulo who saw a gap and decided to do something about it. They didn't wait to be older. They built it themselves.

Leo Gaz
CEO
Travelling across Brazil, Leo kept noticing the same thing: guides, waiters, vendors — incredible people, held back by the language barrier. He stopped thinking about it and started building. His mission is to scale without losing the essence.

Maria Eduarda Ribeiro
COO
Maria Eduarda keeps Guide Your Future running. She coordinates operations, the tutor network, and every step of each session from onboarding to certification. She also leads fundraising.
